Our Impact
Certified Social Enterprise
As a social enterprise we are certified by Social Traders. Social Traders provides the only social enterprise certification in Australia. Certification demonstrates that a social enterprise exists to create impact through trade by doing three things:
- Have a defined primary social, cultural or environmental purpose consistent with a public or community benefit.
- Derive a substantial portion of their income from trade.
- Invest efforts and resources into their purpose such that public/community benefit outweighs private benefit.
As a social enterprise we generate revenue in a range of different ways, including consulting fees for independent advice, software fees for our online tools and marketing fees for installers. Generating our own revenue allows us to continue operating and fulfilling our mission, without relying on grants.

Environmental Impact
We help households and businesses transition to clean energy, which has a direct impact on CO2 emissions. We measure our impact by tracking the number of households we assist who make the switch to clean energy technologies, such as solar, hot water heat pumps, EV chargers, induction cooktops and reverse cycle air conditioners.
Social Impact
We use 50% of our profits to provide additional support for households who face barriers to transitioning, including the 1 in 4 Australian households experiencing energy poverty. We provide free advice, assistance and targeted programs for:
- Low income households who may need support to explore low / no cost interventions or financing options.
- Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) households and recent migrants who may need support to understand their options and government rebates.
- People living in apartments / strata who may need support to navigate the strata process.
- Renters who may need support to engage with their landlord.
- Women who may need support to navigate the male-dominated industry.
- People in regional and rural areas who have limited access to expert advice and installers.
- Local grassroots community groups run by volunteers who reach the groups listed above.
